A while back I signed up to volunteer with the organization Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep. NILMDTS is an organization that offers complimentary bereavement photography services to families dealing with the loss of a baby.
Today I got a call from a local hospital to come take photographs for a family that lost their baby. It is such a difficult experience for everyone involved, but I did it in hopes that my photographs will bring some sort of comfort and healing to the family.
For me personally it was a really difficult and emotional experience, but worth the effort if it gives the family a tiny silver lining in a devestating situation.

I've heard about this organization and for you to be able to give of yourself in this capacity speaks volumes about what a kind and caring human being you are. I think that is so awesome.
I've thought of signing up for that program, but I'm not sure I'm strong enough for it. I really admire you for overcoming the emotional side enough to give a family something to hold on to.
